The Position:
The role of the Summer Analyst within the Business Development team at Davidson Hospitality Group is to assist in the evaluation of potential hotel investments (Acquisitions, Management Takeovers, New Developments, and Saves) with a specific focus in the investment analysis, property-specific underwriting, market research and analysis, site inspections and property tours, and preparation of investment materials for internal and external clients. As necessary, the Summer Analyst will assist in strategy planning for written proposals and live presentations. The Summer Analyst will work together with senior management throughout the deal process. In addition, the Summer Analyst will help to ensure the translation of the Investment Thesis into actionable investment strategies for each asset within the Davidson portfolio.
As a Summer Analyst at a fully integrated hotel operations and investment platform, they will conduct analyses on Davidson’s existing portfolio to maximize property-level operational performance, working together with departments such as Accounting, Food & Beverage, and Sales & Marketing. On occasion, the Financial Analyst will help to present return-on-investment opportunities to senior leadership and ownership to increase property income and asset values.

Professional Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Real Estate, Finance and/or Hospitality Business
• Experience and/or course workload must consist of Excel and financial modeling.
• Relevant work/internship experience is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of commercial real estate, including operations, debt/equity structures and exhibits familiarity with real estate terminology.
• Ability to think critically.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Highly developed organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage a heavy workload and prioritize appropriately.
• Ability to work well and collaborate with others as well as be self-directed and independent to achieve project deadlines.
• Ability to identify opportunities to create/improve existing models and analyst practices.
